Set in 20 acres of woodland in one of the wildest places in Britain yet Highland hospitality is assured at the Forss House Hotel. This traditional country house dates back to 1810, there are 14 beautifully restored bedrooms all individually furnished with your comfort in mind. Bedrooms are distributed between the main house and quaint fishing lodges on the estate; some have separate entrances.
The AA rosette restaurant uses local produce to create exquisite dishes, for dinner you can choose from a tasting menu or a la carte.
A popular stopover for the NC500, be it for a night or a few days, Forss House provides a wonderful base to explore the beauty and ruggedness of the surrounding area. Don’t forget to take a short walk to the waterfall or a longer stroll along the river to the sea – the scenery is spectacular.
