The Marmalade Hotel Overview

Location: Portree, Isle of Skye, Scotland

The Marmalade Hotel is a charming refurbished four-star hotel located in an elevated position in the town of Portree, the capital of the Isle of Skye. The town centre is a short five minute walk from the hotel and Portree is a pretty former fishing village with its signature row of pastel coloured houses overlooking Loch Portree and the sea.

The Marmalade Hotel is centred on an original Georgian house, complemented by a striking contemporary wing meaning the hotel is large enough to be able to offer a choice of 34 guest rooms and suites.

The rooms are stylish, cosy and comfortable and feature muted colours and superb amenities including Nespresso coffee machines, Highland Soap toiletries and Bose sound systems.

The hotel has an outdoor terrace offering views of Portree and the world-famous Cuillin Hills and inside there’s a restaurant offering the very best locally-sourced and Scottish inspired cuisine.

The Isle of Skye is connected to the mainland by the Skye Bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh so no ferry crossing is required. On the Island there’s a huge amount to do and explore including the Fairy Pools, Neist Point and the Old Man of Storr.
