Of the 70 clean and comfortable rooms, 45 have a balcony from which to enjoy the awe-inspiring vista, which can equally be experienced from the panoramic restaurant. Rooms are designed with guests in mind, equipped with all the amenities and fittings that would make a great stay along with an undeniably cosy atmosphere.

The hotel bar on the 4th floor is a lovely venue for panoramic views towards the castle and aperitifs as well as a nice selection of drinks can be ordered.

• We were really pleased to have a view of the Citadel from our rooms. The hotel is handy for both the Citadel and the Ville Basse, and we enjoyed the plentiful buffet breakfast.

• We found the hotel was well situated for walking to the Old City and to the modern town and canal.
