Breakfast at the Hotel d’Angleterre, Copenhagen

This month we have hand-picked a selection of some of our finest hotels that really do stand out from the crowd – not only because they are a great hotel, but they all have that little something extra special about them…

A Fabulous Spa

The pool at the Hotel de Rome, Berlin

Spa de Rome, Hotel de Rome, Berlin

Fancy a late night swim or an afternoon of pampering in your luxury hotel? Well the Hotel de Rome in Berlin gives you just that and much more. Their luxury Spa de Rome is actually housed in an old vault as the building was a former bank, still showing the 15cm thick steel vault door and where the bank once held its gold deposits, the hotel has placed gold leaf mosaics on the walls.

The impeccably maintained spa has a 20 metre pool, a Finnish sauna, an aroma steam room, relax area and Techno-Gym. From organic facials to Thai massages the list of treatments is endless and will be sure to take your fancy. Or if you prefer something more active they even hold yoga classes on their rooftop!

Reviews on Trip Advisor describe the Hotel de Rome as – “Unlike any I’ve seen” and “One of the best places I have ever stayed in,” definitely making it one of Berlin’s top hotels.

Top tip: The hotel is located in one of the most central locations in Berlin – Bebelplatz Square. Perfect for seeing the State Opera, Berlin Cathedral and Alexanderplatz.

A Breathtaking Bar

Radio rooftop bar, ME London

Radio rooftop bar, ME London

One in which I have had the pleasure of visiting myself – Radio bar situated on the 10th floor of the ME London Hotel. This stunning contemporary hotel located on The Strand has one of the newest rooftop bars in London, and what an impact it has made already.

Radio is now one of the ‘it’ places to be and you can see why – its panoramic views of London are flawless alongside its slick décor and decorative outdoor heaters, making it an ideal spot all year round. They also serve food with some delicious premium tapas throughout the day.

Many of London’s big tourist attractions can be seen from Radio such as The Shard, London Bridge, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament to name a few, giving you a great perspective of this vast city during both night and day.

Top tip: The hotel also houses STK, the famous New York steak restaurant which is a regular celebrity hot spot! SO be sure to book well in advance, especially during the weekend.
