Originally a tiny fishing village, Paris has seen the Romans, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Grand Siecle of Louis the XIV, the Revolution, Napolean and La Belle Epoque. It has grown up, and out, to become one of the world’s most exciting cities and a defi nite must see destination. We guarantee that once you’ve been, you’ll want to go back.
During your stay, we’d recommend you visit the Eiffel Tower, the Musee du Louvre, the Musee d’Orsay, the Pompidou Centre, Notre Dame, and the Arc de Triomphe. For green spaces try the Jardin de Luxembourg or the Bois de Boulogne and a short train ride will take you to the magnifi cent Palace of Versailles. In between, spend some time and money at Galleries Lafayette or a Left Bank boutique and for dinner there’s everything from a simple pavement café to the best Michelin starred restaurant.
